Gomeo, is a malicious adware application that tends to be distributed by its affiliated website.
Gomeo’s spying to access user’s personal information and display targeted advertisements according to the collected information. Gomeo might block you accessing search engines and legitimate websites and result in system failures. Remove Gomeo immediately once it’s found on your Computer.
To completely purge Gomeo from your computer, you need to delete the files, folders, and Windows registry keys, and registry values associated with Gomeo.
Removal:
Kill malicious Processes from Task Manager:
- .exe
Location of the infection:
- %AllUsersProfile%\Application Data\.exe
Registry Entries to be removed. (Take a backup of registry, before editing it)
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “.exe”
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings “CertificateRevocation” = ’0′
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings “WarnonBadCertRecving” = ’0′
Although it is possible to manually remove Gomeo, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. After removing all these files, restart your computer and the issue will be fixed. And don’t forget to do update your Security Software, check the Firewall Settings and the Operating System and finally do a full system scan with the Security Software.
